The Symphony's best-known educational programs are its three series of educational concerts in Powell Hall, which serve approximately 40,000 students from 1000 schools annually. They come from public, private, parochial and home schools representing all economic backgrounds. Kinder Konzerts (grades K-4), Young People's Concerts (grades 3-6), and Young Adult Concerts (grades 6 and above) are tailored for separate age groups ranging from kindergarten through high school.

STL Symphony musicians and education staff make over 150 visits to area schools each season.  At the elementary level, programs are designed for small student groups to allow for student participation and interaction, and are aligned with state and national standards. At the secondary level, STL Symphony musicians offer their expertise in masterclass or sectional settings.  Schools may apply to receive visits through the Symphony in Your School or Adopt-a-School programs.
