Free Community Concerts

Join us for free chamber concerts featuring musicians from the St. Louis Symphony. All community concerts are casual, last about an hour, and all ages are welcome. No tickets or reservations are needed unless noted otherwise in concert listings. Please check back regularly for new concert listings and details.

Music & Medicine unite in the SymphonyCares Heart Quartet, a collaborative string quartet that uses music to raise awareness about heart health. Featuring three women from the St. Louis Symphony and SLUCare cardiac surgeon Dr. Dawn Hui, a former member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Heart Quartet will perform a guided musical tour of composers who died of heart-related ailments. Pre-concert refreshments available starting at 5:00pm.

Symphony In Your Neighborhood at Hermann High School

A brass quintet from the St. Louis Symphony performs a free concert for the Hermann, MO community! The second half of this hour-long concert features a side-by-side performance with the Hermann High School Band.

In partnership with Scenic Regional Library - Hermann Branch, and the Hermann Arts Council, and hosted by Hermann High School. No tickets or reservations needed.

STL Symphony musicians Jeff Strong, trumpet, David DeRiso, bass, Shannon Wood, percussion, and jazz pianist Adam Maness perform a program featuring Claude Bolling's Toot Suite, before they perform side-by-side with members of the Pacific High School Jazz Ensembles for the second half of this collaborative concert.

In partnership with Scenic Regional Library - Pacific Branch, and hosted by Pacific High School. No tickets or reservations needed, and the concert will last about an hour.

Musicians from the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America stationed at Scott Air Force Base, the 399th Army Band stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, and winds, brass and percussion from the St. Louis Symphony team up for a first ever joint performance at Powell Hall.
