SymphonyCares

Musicians from the STL Symphony enjoy sharing live music with those unable to attend concerts at Powell Hall due to illness or infirmity

Since its inception during the 2011-12 season, SymphonyCares has served as a way for the St. Louis Symphony to live out its mission of enriching peoples’ lives through the power of music by providing free concerts for people who may be unable to attend a live concert at Powell Hall.

SymphonyCares presents musicians from the STL Symphony performing at various locations throughout Greater St. Louis including, children’s hospitals, cancer centers, and assisted living centers. Working with our strategic partners – including Saint Louis University, Siteman Cancer Centers, Maryville University’s Music Therapy program, and Mercy Children’s Hospital, to name a few – the STL Symphony has also been involved with many exciting and groundbreaking programs and research studies. The results of these studies indicate the positive impact of music on our physical and mental health including, lower blood pressure, improved memory, reduced stress, and even a decrease the intensity of pain we feel.

Join Our Mission

Although STL Symphony Community and Education programs are free of charge to our partners and audiences, they are not free for us to produce. Join our mission today so that musicians from the STL Symphony can continue to make a difference - both on and off the stage of Powell Hall.

Thank you for your support!
