Based on the John Lithgow’s popular children’s book, the Saint Louis Zoo and the St. Louis Symphony team up to show audiences just how musical animals can be. Featuring Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals and Henry Mancini’s Baby Elephant Walk.

Maestro Steven Jarvi and a special guest will lead demonstrations of sound waves and sound creation in the various instruments of the orchestra. Featured works include Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances and Beethoven’s Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus.
