Instrument Playground
Be sure to stop by the instrument playground in the Wightman Grand Foyer prior to the concerts where kids can try out instruments from each of the music families. Symphony volunteers will be on hand to help in this very up close and personal musical experience.

The Life and Times of Beethoven

Performer Michael Boudewyns returns to Powell Hall to perform an original program detailing the life and amazing music of Beethoven, featuring selections from Beethoven’s mighty Fifth Symphony. In addition to hearing excerpts from his most famous work, audiences will learn more about how Beethoven channeled his life’s hardships into musical works of genius.
