ALERT: Grand Boulevard Bridge Construction Update
As of March 14, 2011, the Grand Boulevard Bridge between Chouteau and Hwy 64/40 will be closed for reconstruction for approximately 15 months. This closure will primarily affect the patrons that use Hwy 44 to access the venues and restaurants in the Grand Center District.
Most importantly, the Hwy 64/40 exit on to Grand/northbound will remain OPEN during the construction.
Alternate routes if using Hwy 44:
- Use the Vandeventer Ave. exit (one exit west of Grand),
- Use the Jefferson Ave. exit (one exit east of Grand),
- Exit at Grand, proceed north. At Chouteau, turn east to Compton, then north to enter the District. Or, at Chouteau, turn west to Vandeventer, then north to enter the District,
- Exit at Hampton, cross over to Hwy 64/40 eastbound and exit at Grand and proceed north to enter the District.

Grand Center operates several parking lots near Powell Hall in the Grand Center Arts District.
Powell Hall is located at 718 North Grand Boulevard in the Grand Center mid-town arts district. Grand Boulevard is accessed off of I-64 or I-70. I-64 is the closest interstate access. Due to excessive traffic on Grand Boulevard on concert nights, we suggest using alternative streets including Compton and Vandeventer.
Two parking lots serve the immediate area around Powell Hall -- the Veterans Administration lot (available concert evenings and weekends only), located North of the hall off of Delmar Boulevard, and the Grand Center Blue Lot, located along the South side of the hall off of Samuel Shepard. Both lots are accessed by turning East off of North Grand Boulevard on to Delmar Boulevard or Samuel Shepard.

Driving Directions:

From I-40/64:
Exit I-40/64 East or West at Grand Boulevard, make a right turn and go North
on Grand. Powell Hall is on the right, East, side of the street
approximately 1 mile North. Parking is accessed by Samuel Shepard Drive on
the South or by Delmar Boulevard on the North side of the building.
Due to excessive traffic on Grand Boulevard on concert nights, we suggest

From I-44:
Exit I-44 East or West at Grand Boulevard and go North
on Grand. Powell Hall is on the right, East, side of the street
approximately 2 miles North. Parking is accessed by Samuel Shepard Drive on
the South or by Delmar Boulevard on the North side of the building.

using alternative streets including Compton, Jefferson and Vandeventer.
From I-70:
Exit I-70 East or West at Grand Boulevard, turn South on Grand. Powell
Symphony Hall is on the Left, East, side of the street approximately 3
miles South. Parking is accessible off of Delmar Boulevard on the North or
by Samuel Shepard Drive on the South side of the building.
From Metrolink:
Please note the Metrolink station is approximately 1 1/2 miles South of
Powell Hall and is therefore not recommended for transportation
to the hall.
Exit the Metrolink at the Grand Avenue station. By foot, the hall is 1
1/2 miles North on Grand Boulevard or, take the #70 Grand bus North to
Powell Hall. A bus stop is located in front of the MetroLink
station and Powell Hall.
