MORE THAN 1,600 PEOPLE ATTEND ST. LOUIS SYMPHONY YOUTH ORCHESTRA CONCERT
ST. LOUIS— The first St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra Concert of the 2012-2013 season was a rousing success, both in terms of on-stage performance and support from the community. More than 1600 patrons took advantage of free tickets and attended the YO's first concert of Friday, November 16.
Free seats are assigned on a general admission basis; donors of $150 and up will have access to dress circle boxes. Tickets may be reserved for the March and May 2013 YO performances by calling the Powell Hall Box Office at 314-534-1700. A $1 per ticket processing charge applies.
Repertoire for the November 16 concert included:
MENDELSSOHN The Hebrides (Fingal’s Cave), op 26
BERNSTEIN Symphonic Suite from On the Waterfront
SIBELIUS Symphony No. 2 in D major, op. 43
