ST. LOUIS SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES PROGRAM
FOR LEAGUE OF AMERICAN ORCHESTRAS CONFERENCE
Tickets for the June 18, 2013 performance go on sale November 14
ST. LOUIS—Tickets go on sale November 14 for the St. Louis Symphony’s June 18, 2013 performance for the League of American Orchestras Conference. The conference, which takes place in St. Louis June 17-20, 2013, is expected to have hundreds of attendees from orchestras across the country. This is the first time in 60 years St. Louis has hosted the event.
The Symphony’s League concert, which will be led by St. Louis Music Director David Robertson, features star bass vocalist Eric Owens. The program displays the wide stylistic range of the St. Louis Symphony, from Mozart to John Adams, and concludes with a performance of Adams’s Doctor Atomic Symphony. The Symphony’s 2009 Nonesuch recording of the Doctor Atomic Symphony was named CD of the Decade by the Times of London.
