More Ways to Get Involved
The SVA offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for all levels of time commitment and ability. For more information, including opportunities in addition to those listed below, please contact us at 314-286-4153 or volunteer@stlsymphony.org.
One and Done
Volunteers assist
with a variety of projects on an as-needed basis.
Instrument Playground
Instrument Playground is a traveling “hands-on” kit of musical instruments available on short term loan to area schools. Volunteers assist with assembling instrument kits and coordinate scheduling, delivery, and pick-up. The committee also gives presentations with the instruments to students at schools and other venues.
Powell Hall Tours
Volunteers acting as tour guides share their knowledge about Powell Hall with school children following education concerts. Additional opportunities include training and/or facilitating education programs, coordinating tours, and developing written materials.
Powell Hall Boutique
SVA members staff the Powell Hall Boutique open one hour before concerts and during intermission.
Playbill articles
SVA members write articles about SVA programs that are published in Playbill, the STL Symphony’s concert program.
